Apple iPad 2 official TV Ad - If You ...

Apple doesn’t have many values as it caters for a wide range of audience however it is an aspirational brand.
It is targeted at a wide range of audience; however the people who buy from Apple should have a high income as they are willing to pay a bit more for a better user experience.
In this advert it is showing that Apple iPad2 is for everyone to use either with their family or on their own, it enables individuals to surf the web, check emails, watch movies, read books, play games, and is work-based as well. The Apple iPad2 can be used either at home or at work.
Apple is a sophisticated and trustworthy brand, and provides consistent thin slick good quality,  products and brand making that their unique selling point.

Apple communicates these values to their intended audience through TV adverts, Online adverts and on Billboards so that they can be promoted to whoever and whenever they can.

Brand and logo/image of Apple:
Signifier - A Silver Apple bitten.
Signifies - Apple technology and its products/hardware are thin, slick, high-quality and are up-to-date. The apple bitten is relating to byte/bite emphasising Apple's slogan 'Byte into an Apple'

Money

Money the root of all evil and yet it is such a useful root that we cannot get on without it.
Money!
What is the meaning of money?
Coins and banknotes, wealth and riches.
It can make or break a person's life. People usually say money can’t buy love and happiness, but I’ve watched lack of money break and tore a family apart.
But why, i will never understand. Money is the happiness of all without it your nothing.
To make a loved one loved and happy you need money.
To start a family you need money.
To make your kids happy you need money.
To put food on your table you need money.
To provide one of the basics; water you need money.
To get to places you need money.
Money is the necessity of life.
Hate the word Money!
It's really weird, if the world ended right now no one would care about money but yet if i were to go to a shop right now and steal from the shop i would get done by the police for robbery but why doesn’t the law or police or anyone else understand that if i had the money why would i want to rob?
Foolishness.

Film Assessment:

Film Assessment:

The semiotic choices we made as part of preparing our film, are different kinds of shots, angles, speeds, sound effects, and body language and costumes.

Intended effect of your Semiotic Features:
As having the role of a Sound Mixer I have decided that I will use Sound Effects to help create a sense of drama and exhortation of comedy in the film. As without the right Sound Effects/Mixers it won’t create the right atmosphere I intended and will not make the film appropriate enough for its genre.

Continuing the horror trailer, we have all decide what roles we are going to be taken on which are:
Steph - Camera
Lauren - Director
Sonia - Set designer
Alysha - Costume designer
Raihanah - Editor
Me - Sound mixer
we have all decided to taken on the writer/script job as we all want to put in our ideas together, which we have already started and are hoping to finish the script by tomorrows lesson, so that we can then focus on other details such as what the actors will be wearing and the location.

'Everything is a Remix' is really interesting, when i watch new movies they all seem unique and new but they aren't they have been copied which is really weird to watch, it has sort of made me not won't to watch movies and programmes as much as i use to.

Media Studies - Creating Media

I have decided to chose brief three which is to do with the music industry and is targeted at a youth-based market.
I have also chosen the Print and E-media tasks, as i find them really interesting and i cant wait to make my website for it, but i'm not too keen on the printing and i'm definitely not doing Broadcasting because it sounds extremely hard! so thats a noo noo!

OK! Magazine

The ok! Magazine is different to the other magazines as it uses the colour red making it look eye-catching and stand out from the rest it also has the words OK! In white, bold and in capital letters making it stand out as well. The phrase OK! Is almost like they are shouting the word out to the viewer and is calling them.
This magazine is an exclusive on Jessie Wallace and her heartbreak as there is a large image of her in a wedding dress to get the viewers attention, the image is positioned in the centre making it the main focus and has other media objects surrounding her like two other images of rock n roll celebrities getting married, quotes of Jessie saying ‘I couldn’t marry a cheat’ this makes it look like bad gossip which gets the attention of the viewer as everyone is up for gossip, and has a pregnancy exclusive etc.
The text which has been used is positioned around Jessie making her face the main focus and uses the same colours from the OK! Logo for some of the text to make it match.
They have also used different colours so that certain pictures stand out for example the background is white, making Jessie’s black hair and make-up stand out and at the bottom the background is black making her white wedding dress stand out.

Also the position of Jessie is in the centre and the angle of the picture is the front view of her showing all her face and making look as though she is making eye-contact with the viewer and by doing this it is getting the viewers attention to pick up the magazine.

Ok magazine was originally launched as a monthly issue; its first issue was published in April 1993. In September 2004, OK! publishers Northern and Shell launched in Australia as a monthly title – the magazine went weekly in October 2006. In 2005, a US version was launched, followed by an Indian edition in May 2006, a Spanish-language version in Mexico in 2006, a Bulgarian-language version in 2007 and a Spanish edition in 2008. OK! is the world’s biggest celebrity lifestyle magazine.

Ok magazine is known by women of different ages. It is the first for celebrity news and gossip and has photo-based news. OK! Magazine enjoys having access to these very private individuals; from weddings and parties, to births and birthdays, celebrities invite OK! to cover the major moments in their life which is one of its unique selling points.
The cover of OK! Magazine is quite attractive within itself. It has a bright red and white logo at the top to display the name clearly, with the price printed in large letters as opposed to the tiny text next to the barcode magazine. Underneath there are four pictures displaying four of the key features which are inside as well such as well-known celebrities like ‘Cheryl Cole’, this is another unique selling point as it attracts the viewer with its bright colours, and celebrity gossip which you can’t find anywhere else. The magazine itself has 146 pages, and its pages are very glossy.
There is also a competition at the beginning which shows the magazine is split into sections: 'News', 'Features', 'Fashion' and 'Regulars'.

The OK! Magazine has led the falls, with a 25.6% drop year on year to an average weekly circulation of 508,504.
They have also launched the OK magazine In India, OK! will be priced at Rs 100 and will contain 116 pages. The magazine aims to expand all over India and the USP of OK! could be its international coverage of celebrity news.
